Recent results from the field indicate we may be able to tune an entire machines’ roller set to synchronize wear and eliminate waste.

By adding N-Nanbrol^® 80 to XNBR compound we can tune the wear rates of rollers*.  More N-Nanbrol^® 80 equates to longer wear.  Up to twice the wear is possible.

Not every roller would benefit from twice the wear – as attractive as that sounds.  The shortest lived roller should be a candidate for enhancement with N-Nanbrol^® 80 to some degree.

In cases where differential wear rates (duty cycles) result in lost value from disposal of partially worn rollers, we believe we can tune the wear rates of the roller set to match.  This will allow fewer replacement events, more productivity, increased margins and profits.
