Perastic polymer technology can produce spectacular results when used in high performance compounds.  However, you don’t need to go all nano to get some of the benefits of nano-technology in YOUR compound.

Nanbrol® masterbatches are available for NBR, HNBR, FKM, and Aflas polymers.

These masterbatches generally improve all measures of toughness in rubber.  Some polymers, and some formulations, will see more improvement than others.  Samples are available (N-Nanbrol® and H-Nanbrol®) for you to try with your particular formulation.

  • Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (NBR); N-Nanbrol® improves physical properties with almost no degradation while also improving barrier properties.  Only N-Nanbrol® is available in high density masterbatch.
  • Hydrogenated Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (HNBR); H-Nanbrol® improvements are generally smaller than the spectacular improvements available in NBR.  H-Nanbrol® can extend the range of uses, temperature resistance, and duration of use for most HNBR compounds.  HNBR can be let down with our N-Nanbrol® high density masterbatch or formulated with our H-Nanbrol® masterbatch.  Maximum nano-fill amount in HNBR is currently 60 phr.  Blending this with your compound will likely duplicate the improvements documented in NBR.

  • Aflas; A-Nanbrol® improves Aflas® compounds where they are weakest.  Truly remarkable tear (both hot and ambient) numbers have been obtained using A-Nanbrol® masterbatches.
  • FKM; F-Nanbrol® is available that will extend the temperature range and toughness of FKM fluoroelastomers.  F-Nanbrol has not been as extensively tested as A-Nanbrol due to the near desperate search for higher hot tear strength in Aflas®.
